This is the sixth fish carving in the series.  It was a piece commissioned by a collector of my work who enjoys fishing for pompano.  The distinctive shape of this species coupled with its reputation as the world's most edible fish made this an enjoyable endeavor.  This is the first of my fish carvings in which both pectoral fins extend out from the body.  My enthusiasm for carving it is reflective in the distinctive personality.
